Look everyone! I created a blog! Now, I know there are about 1,000,000,000 of these things out there, and that any market survey would suggest that there is hardly a need for a new one. But I am hoping that this one will find a small amount of space to occupy in this crowded part of the World.
Who am I? What will be in the blog? And who is Florence? All very good questions; here are some short answers, by way of an introduction.
I am the husband of an extraordinary wife and the father of three children. Our oldest boy, J, is 5 years old; the second, G (also a boy) is 3 years old; and the third is E, our spunky daughter, who is approaching 17 months. Like many other parents of young children, we spend a great deal of our time chasing them around.
What will be in the blog? Mostly reflections on, and descriptions of, ordinary, day-to-day life. Being a parent, there will probably be lots about that peculiar adventure. But to be honest, I’m not totally sure what will end up in here; and after spending far too much time trying to come up with a perfect, all-encompassing introduction, I am content with leaving it at that.
Who is Florence? She is my grandmother. She left us a good while ago. In thinking about whether to create this blog, I struggled with figuring out who would read it. I am still not convinced anyone will. But she would, I think, and I suppose that’s enough of a readership for now.
Here it goes.
